E-Books are big
business on the Internet these days. If you are not familiar with e-books,
they are simply books (usually less content than a printed book) that are
available for immediate download after purchase from a website. E-books are
great because they are easy to create, free to distribute and have a high
profit margin.
If you are outgoing, love music and
entertaining others, you could be a great traveling DJ.
You can DJ for many types of events such as weddings, birthday
parties, dance clubs, office parties, graduation parties and store
grand opening ceremonies. This business does not seem like a
business because it is fun to operate. You get to listen to music
all day, meet all kinds of people, make them laugh and smile, and
work as much or as little as you want.
This can be an expensive
business to start if you are just starting out. You will need tons
of CDs with all kinds of music types, a quality sounds system and
good speakers. You will need a way to transport your equipment to
events and have an insurance policy on your equipment if it gets
damaged.
You will earn money on an hourly rate, depending on your
geographic location. Some areas will support up to $150 per hour and
some areas will only be able to charge $40 per hour. This business
has the potential to earn more than $100,000 per year with a full
time effort.
You can easily find clients by placing an ad in the yellow pages
and partnering with wedding planners or other party planners who
recommend your services. Ads in local newspapers can also bring in
good results as well as radio ads. Post flyers and brochures on
bulletin boards near college campuses and at bridal shops.
